Probably the funniest & my favorite picture. I literally laughed out loud looking at their shy smiles facing away from each other. & Oscar's finger reaching out to Bosco. HAHA!

This showcases the main reason why I love Oscar, Bosco & Kenneth. They always give off a goofy and playful side. They still have the big kids inside them yet I admire them all so much when they know how to get serious and down to business when it comes to work. I simply love these funny photos of them!

Fashion Police//Double Feature

I don't know about you guys, but my most favorite section in fashion, teen, celebrity magazines are the - Who Wore it Best? section. I've always found it highly interesting seeing artists coincidentally wearing the same exact outfit, it's very amusing. So now, I present to you Tvb Shine's own version of Who Wore it Best? - Double Feature. Double the outfit, double the style, double the glam. I hope to do more of these in the future, however it's not that common. The ones I found were just pure luck, but I'll be keeping a close eye from now on. If you guys happen to find any, feel free to submit them to keep this feature ongoing!

Round #1 :

Tavia Yeung VS. Angela Tong
Tavia sported this dress at the 2010 Astro Wah Lai Toi Awards while Angela rocked this dress down the red carpet of Tvb's 42nd Lighting Ceremony. If you guys recall from my previous Fashion Police post, I mentioned that this dress was one of my favorites! Right when I saw the pictures of Tavia wearing this, it snapped me right back to Angela's picture and I was right! It's the exact same dress!

From their accessories, Tavia's is more simple and elegant while Angela's is more wild and bold. Funny how it's the exact opposite. However, they both have on black heels but it's obvious Tavia's are much cuter while Angela's black shiny pumps are classic, Tavia's scrunchy black heels seem to match the outfit more.

All in all, I have to declare Angela as the winner due to the fact that (although they both have the similar short pixie cut) Angela's is more suited with the dress - slicked back and a tad messy. Tavia is so beautiful in my opinion but sad to say that even she can't rock this hairstyle! I just can't stand the volume of her hair along with the straight bangs. (Note: Her hair from YSSS grew on me, I find it really cute on her) However, it's not the same case here, maybe it would've been better if she swept her bangs to the side.

I love all black dresses actually, and this one is more edged out however still adds a touch of cuteness with the bow. This would be a perfect dress to have for Homecoming :)

Oscar Leung Sings!

While stalking him on youtube (:P) I happened to come across this! There's more videos of him singing live, but here's his rendition of Ron Ng's Red Butterfly! Considering this is live, he's not that bad. I like his voice, it's very "warm". I can't find the right words to describe. He seems to struggle with the high notes though, but it's the same for Ron. But anyways, for those who understand it, what do you think?

How to dress like...Linda Chung?

I browse through a lot of clothing sites online when I'm bored just to drool over the pretty clothes since I don't have the money to pay for them. Surprisingly when I was scrummaging around asos.com (one of my favorite clothing sites), I happened to spot a dress that looked very similar to Linda's at a recent function. The two dresses are strikingly alike.

The only slight difference from Linda's to the Miss Sixty's one is the different colors and pattern of flowers on the dress. In my personal opinion, I find the dress pretty cute, I love anything flowy with floral prints. I'm assuming the dress is much prettier in person because it looked much better on Linda when I saw the video of her interview. What are your thoughts on this? I found this to be such a funny coincidence :)!

Linda Chung's 3rd Album - My Private Selction : If You Want Me

Comments: Congratulations to Linda! I am so happy for her, and hopes that she will become more & more successful for her singing as well as acting career. Compared to her very first debut album her voice has definitely improved! Along with her live singing. It's easily noticeable that she's no longer as nervous as before. Out of all the preview pictures from the photo shoot for her 3rd Album, I must say I am disapointed in the cover. The concept brings an edgy, cool vibe but the image just looks plain weird. I just don't like this picture of her.

7 Days in Life//Calvin & Christie (Ep. 14)

*I've recently finished 7 Days & I have to admit, I highly enjoyed it. Can't believe I was planning on skipping this because the plot & cast didn't appeal to me that much & I thought it was going to turn out as a cheesy comedy. Boy was I wrong! I fell in love with most of the characters, and every episode was fast-paced and humorous.

I really enjoyed the main couple - Calvin & Christie's scenes regarding their complicated relationship. Steven & Sonija have a lot of chemistry and make a refreshing - intimate couple.

One of the episodes that showcases their spark, & is packed with many important scenes of the two has got to be - Episode 14.

While searching for the Professor's (a hotel guest) camera, Sonija (Christie) & Joyce (Tong Ching) look around the hotel's storage room/basement when the room unexpectedly catches on fire. With Sonija's help Joyce managed to escape leaving Sonija behind trapped in the fire. Joyce immediately yells out for help as Steven (Calvin) and Koni (Judy) approach. Steven, hearing the news regarding Sonija still trapped inside the burning room, immediately rushes in to save her.

Both are in shock as they make eye contact and have seem to forgotten about their recent break up/altercation.

Steven rushes in immediately holding onto Sonija tightly.

"What are you doing here? You'll only get yourself killed!"
"You'll be fine when I'm around."

The fire worsens -crashing the burning desks onto the floor blocking the entrance leaving them trapped in each others' arms inside the room.

They embrace each other knowing that they'll have no regrets if their lives was to end at this exact moment.

Luckily, the door crashed down, clearing the entrance way & the pair quickly make their escape.

After rushing out safely, not saying a word, their eyes are still locked to one another's.

Moments later after going into the medical room for help, fortunately neither one of the two suffered any severe wounds.

Joyce thanks Sonija for saving her first in time, and was reassured when Sonija was safe and sound.
"You must have been rewarded for your good deed...despite the danger Mr.Yik(Steven/Calvin)rushed in to save you."
*Sonija has a flashback of her past when they were both attacked from being thieves.

Steven blocked a punch for Sonija causing him to be severely injured as the two run off escaping.
"Maybe I have no right to be with you, but I want you to remember..."

"Someone in this world loves you, and cares about you."

Sonija ends her flashback when she sees Steven walking out after being treated. They gaze into each other's eyes once again, concerned about each other's safety.

Sonija returns the camera to the Professor, however the film has been exposed ruining all of the pictures in the camera. The Professor continues on expressing to his companion,

"It's a shame losing those pictures but we've been through so much together."

"We'll always have those fond memories. Right, I may have forgotten about something. But I know I'm happiest when I'm with you."

*I loved the way Calvin looked at her in this scene. From his eyes, you can tell he still cares for Christie so much, and deep down they both, still have feelings for each other.

Hi everyone!

Wow, it's been quite a long while hasn't it? Over a year to be exact. No, I'm not dead, still alive :) I sincerely apologize to all of my Tvb Shine readers, (silent/active) for my disappearance. I was forced into a long hiatus, & I really miss and regret the fact of abandoning my blog for so long.

I was still around, although, only once & awhile, browsing through my affiliates and that's when I realized, I wasn't the only who vanished out of the TVB blogging world. I'd rather not go into much detail, but I'm sure some of you are wondering, where have I been?. Life hit me hard this year. To put it in short, the relationship betweens my parents turned from rocky to borderline disastrous, my beloved grandpa's health is decreasing as he is battling with lung cancer, drama at school between my friends & I, & of course - school. My grades haven't been pretty this school year and as I much as I try, I always find myself falling behind. I'm forced to admit, I can't handle any of this. Sure, this is just a teenage crisis so perhaps, but I'm losing myself & some days I feel as if everything around me is falling apart and nothing's going smoothly. (Agh, I should stop venting :P) Soooo,Did I cut TVB out of my life? Not exactly. I'll still watch a series that sparks my interest every now and then.

But I have to admit, just like everyone else, TVB isn't the same anymore. I'm no longer anticipating for anything. None. Series, beloved artists coming back on screen, nothing. It doesn't excite me anymore. However, I'm not ready to let go of this part of my childhood. & don't think I'll ever will. TVB's been a part of me & it's my escape every now and then. Some days I'll lock myself in my room downloading the latest episodes for a certain drama. Laughing/crying along the familiar faces I grew up with.

As for TVB Shine, I'll try my best (but no promises D:) to be back this summer! I honestly miss blogging & I feel immensely guilty every time I come back on realizing that I haven't made any new posts and left for a whole year. As the end of the school year is coming up, piles & piles of work/expectations are knocking in. I'm not ready to go back to TVB Shine. But please, bear with me. I'll still be active through Twitter. -I recently finished 7 Days in Life & I loved it! Along with No Regrets & Gun Metal Grey before that. I no longer have the patience and endurance to watch every single series. Does anyone have any recommendations? I've started quite a few, & end up leaving after the first 5 episodes.

I started re-watching A Journey Called Life recently, and personally, it's better second time around. I guess it's because I lose myself reminiscing about the first time watching it in 2008, & all the memories in my life around that certain year also.

I've missed TVB Shine dearly & once again I'm deeply sorry for disappearing without saying a single word. 'Til then!

It's a little late, but better than never! Happy Holidays everybody. I hope you are all spending time with the loved ones, laughing and just that super special moments with your family. Here where I live, it never snows, but stay warm everybody.

Time's flying by so fast, and live up 2009 as it will shockingly be out the door in about 6 days. I'm happy Tvb Shine has gone through its first Christmas and hopefully many more to come.

Series Thoughts + Announcements

Cast: Ron Ng, Myolie Wu, Sunny Chan, Shirley Yeung, Nancy Wu, Loui Yuen, etc.

I'll be honestly straight forward and say that - I've been looking forward to this series since I saw the pictures for its costume fitting. Why? Because of Ron Ng's look which spelled out one word - hot. Also, after watching Find The Light, Shirley and Ron has always been a favorite couple of mine. They look really cute, and after watching trailers, I really look forward to seeing how this bickering couple will turn out! I really like Ron's hair and outfits here therefore I have a feeling I'm going to take a bunch of screen caps. Myolie's character seems funny as well. I heard the first episode wasn't so good, but it gradually gets better. I don't expect anything from this, as it is a silly comedy but the cast is strong. I don't remember Ron in comedies, besides his witty humor in The Academy and On the First Beat, and it sort of reminds me of The Scavenger's Paradise. I can't wait to see this. (P.S - Does anyone know where I can watch this with English Subtitles? I've been waiting patiently but still no updates from anything. Please help a sister out, haha).

Cast: Christine Ng, Kate Tsui, Sharon Chan, Lai Lok Yi, etc.

Once I read the synopsis for this, I wanted to watch it right away! This is such a different and unique idea, and I'd like to see how they poke fun of the entertainment world. The cast however, I don't seem as very strong. I'm dying to see Sharon Chan's portrayal, of a villain/drug addict. That is basically the total opposite of Yan in Born Rich. Who doesn't like watching Christine Ng and Kingdom Yuen? As for Kate, I'm not necessarily looking forward to her, but it'd be nice to see how she plays a role so similar to herself. At first, I thought for certain Kate would sing the theme song for the series, but after hearing some reports, she doesn't? Maybe the subtheme? I honestly don't have a clue if Kate sings well or not, because the only ones are I hear, are overlapped with too many effects, I can't even hear her real voice. Anyways, this seems like a totally refreshing series, and I can't wait to see this as well.

Since my winter break is next week, I'm probably going to be occupied and entertain myself with the two dramas above. (Hopefully, if someone would upload them with English Subtitles). But maybe, I'll be finishing up Born Rich, if they don't upload all the English Subs in time. As for Beyond, I heard it gets better, and as much as I love the cast, it still is disappointing. I will tune into the ending sooner or later, but for now, I'm not certain I'm watching it during my break.

*The new banner and layout is up. I've basically been gone for awhile, and I hope I didn't lose my visitors. Stupid virus kept coming back as I spent countless hours each day getting rid of it. Well, now that it's gone I can finally return with more updates. Plus, I cleared up everything on my personal blog (due to personal reasons), and started anew. I've decided to share it with you guys, as I will mention some Tvb references now and then on it. Stay tuned! (And, of course I won't abandon this because of my personal blog, I probably will only update that every now and then.)

I was getting ready to post all of my thoughts + predictions on Tvb's Award, new improvements to the site, another fashion posts, more Tvb Quotes, thoughts on the grand productions, upcoming releases, new series, graphics... but then things turned against me when...

my computer is now attacked with a deadly virus.

At first, there were tons of popups saying that 'I was infected with a virus and should update my spyware' but we all know those are fake. Then, my internet restricted sites such as, Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Flickr, etc. Which were sites I visit daily. I tried almost about everything to getting it removed but still tough luck. It's still there and I can't get rid of it. I tried logging on today and even worse - my internet won't work.

Unfortunately, I don't know when I'm able to update Tvb Shine again. =(

Fashion Police//Critique : Tvb 42nd Anniversary Gala

The Tvb 42nd Anniversary Gala has recently aired, and as people watch with anticipation, rooting for their favorite artists, drama, and see what performances will take plus, another feature everyone looks out on is , What are the artists wearing? Do they have a neat fashion sense, or are some just plain outrageous & weird? These next few sets of pictures featuring the beautiful and such elegant gowns the actresses who have attended had worn. These images are set in random order, and are soley based on my opinion, enjoy.

I believe that to make your outfit grand and complete, your jewlery, hair and dress altogether should match you well. Let's see how the elegant ladies paired up everything at the grand event.

Koni Lui:

The first thought that popped into my mind when seeing this was, "Woah, that is extremely sexy!" which seems to fit Koni's outer appearance as well. I believe her hair is perfectly done, and it looks sophisticated, neat with a hint of wildness. At first look, I didn't quite like it but after looking at the outfit from different angles, it's alright? I think the biggest problem is how the color of the dress almost blends in with her skin tone, maybe it would've been nice if it was a tad darker. It seems to look like she over-acessesorized, but I think the problem is, her neck and waist seems too busy. Overall, I think the shoes added the perfect touch, making the outfit altogether sexy and acceptable.

Bernice Liu:

The dress is extremely beautiful and elegant and the belt adds a nice "modern" and trendy piece to it. Although I seem to think the color of the dress could've been better if it was one shade darker or lighter, it still matches Bernice well. Her hair and jewlery pieces are perfect, making her look so beautiful. She was glowing and her smiles were even brighter than that shiny diamond ring! Well done, Bernice!

Fala Chen:

Fala's makeup made her look even nicer than usual. I believe that was the best feature she had that night. Is it just the picture angle, but I really dislike her hair there. The bun looks weird and her bangs are just strange. I like her earrings! I like her watch but somehow I believe it just looks plain weird with the dress. Overall, this isn't Fala's best ensemble.

Leanne Li:

Although I prefer her with long hair, I think her short bob is cute! Her dress is alright, but it fits so well on her, I think it looks elegant and perfect. A major problem with this, is that cheap looking necklace. What the heck?! It doesn't even match the dress. Plus, the dress looks so wrinkly, I want to iron it for her or something.

Linda Chung:

Every time I see Linda in a dress, it's always pink or any other girl color. The dress suits her, and it is very extravagent, but the the front makes it look like a long fancy towel wrap. I think the pockets on it were pretty cool. For some reason, after a long look, the pink seems to clash with her hair. Her jewlery were the perfect touch, and I think Linda did a nice job. Her hair in the front was ok, but just a tad messy, but in another shot, her fancy ponytail in the back was very classy.

Aimee Chan:

The dress had a wild side to it. It's nice but it's nowhere near elegant. I think it's nice and it fits Aimee's tomboy image. From this view on the image however, makes it look not so pretty. Her makeup should've been darker on the lips but, as is, not bad. She did an ok job. I just think it's missing something.

Shirley Yeung:

Didn't she wear something like this from another year. Well the color and patterns are extremely alike. I don't really like Shirley's hair and makeup. Doesn't suit it well at all. I like her cute outfit from the Crossover bit more.

Natalie Tong:

Her makeup, dress, accessories are perfect. Her hair looks eyecatching, but not in a good way.

Susanna Kwan:

Her dress was extremely pretty! Maybe a lighter necklace would've been a more suitable choice.

Angela Tong:

I always like what Angela Tong wears to the Tvb events. This is my favorite dress, although it doesn't look like it fits her well at the waistline. Her jewlery, makeup, and hair are so classy and sexy! Bravo Angela. I love it!

Myolie Wu:

You won't dissagree when I say that Myolie Wu has a unique and crazy sense of fashion. I dislike the fur and dress ensemble. It's definetly unique, but just not my taste. Her hair is lovely, minus the weird heaband thing. By the way, her makeup is exact with her dress, and hair color is exact with the fur coat!

Kate Tsui:

Why Kate, why? To make your plain black dress "pop", did you really have to wear that ugly neck thing?! I don't even want to know why you chose that. I thought Kate would've learn to dress better. The only thing acceptable was her makeup. OI.

Michelle Yim:

The color of the dress is magnificent! Along with her elegant jewlery. Michelle's arms look so thin and she looks awfully pale. Her hair look like someone hairsprayed it randomly when she stood in front of a fan. But, it is one of my favorite dresses. Kudos!

Nancy Wu:

I don't like Nancy's dress at all, and her hair could've been better. Enough said.

Yoyo Mung:

Her hair, makeup and color matches her complexion. I like her dress, it's high on the scale for the wowfactor. But, the single strap looks like it's about to fall of.

Sharon Luk;

Her jewlery won't be considered as bold, but I like it. I think it's enough. Her hair could've been better without the flip, and her makeup doesn't look fancy. As for her dress, I really don't like the straps and top of it. Great color, just weird design.

Macy Chan:

Her hair is unique and lovely but her dress is the total opposite! Why Macy? It looks like a piece of lingerie, and not all appropiate! The tights make it seem more conservative but it just adds a tad more of ugly to the outfit.

Well, there you have it! My critique on the fashion ensembles from this year's Anniversary Gala! What were some of your comments on the dresses, which was your favorite and least favorite?

Tvb 42nd Anniversary Gala!

Since I had to watch Tvb 42nd Anniversary Gala online, the quality was poor thus I had quite a hard time pointing out which artiste was who. Although the quality of it online was bad, I still enjoyed it! I didn't watch the horrible skit at the end, as everyone reports it as "ridiculous", etc. Plus, I wouldn't have understood it anyways.

-Beginning Performance

*Artists : Bernice Liu, Michael Tse, Fala Chen, Bosco Wong, Ron Ng, Patrick Tang, Grace Wong, Yoyo Chen , etc.

-Bernice is such a magnificent dancer, although that point is already obvious. I'm surprised Kate didn't perform here, if she was going to in the first place. Michael & Bosco sang Dayo Wong's War of Genders Theme! I was like "Oh my god, it's a Dayo song!" Haha. I think Michael sang it well, as for Bosco, he danced really good...

Ron Ng was very hot! I enjoyed his dancing and singing, even if he does wear bright yellow pants! He still looked nice. Haha.

-Susanna was really pro at spinning the spear stick. I was amazed, good job! Angela Tong gave such a lively performance. She's an amazing artist. I enjoyed that as well.

-Crossover:

Song : My Girl

*Artists : Steven Ma, Charmaine Sheh, Kenneth Ma, Kevin Cheng, Shek Sau, Kiki Sheung, etc.

-My Girl was a favorite song of mines since little, so it brought back nice memories. Aww, Charmaine & Steven were adorable! I was surprised since news reported the rumored couple was. It was a nice surprise, and I loved their cute interactions when they flirted with each other. Kenneth Ma is super super adorable! He was so into it, and it looked like he had fun! I heard that Charamine can speak English well, and never had the chance of hearing it until now. But, Kiki sang it even better and she surprised me! I haven't seen Shek Sau since Best Selling Secrets of last year. He should film more!

Linda sounds so cute, and much better in English. She sang that song perfectly. Shirley's costume was so cute and she danced very well. She outshined the others with her dancing. Susan Tse looks great for her age. Ching Ho Wai, can you believe it's the same person who plays Bureau Chief in Beyond? Haha, she was so cute as well. I loved the Crossover bit, all songs and artists gave such great performances. I applaud them all!

Wong Cho Lam always manages to get people laughing. I liked the MJ bit Louis performed. I didn't know he can sing in English so well!

Fala and Steven sang, and I think they're a nice couple. I just didn't like the facial expressions Fala made when she sings. Wayne and Sheren truly outshined the others! I have a huge gut feeling they're taking home awards for Best Actor & Actress this year. It is deservable though.

I loved the Crossover bit the most, & I still rewatch it and the songs have been stuck in my head for days now! Haha. I enjoyed it so much!

Finally Back//Music Survey

*I'm finally back! I missed my blog, ahah. Anyways as you can see, there has been drastic changes to the layout. This one looked more professional, and it was easier to change setting and use. I hope you all like the template along with the banner. As promised, my review for Laughing Movie - Turning Point, my updates on the grand productions & my choice and predictions for TVB's 42nd Anniversary, along with a whole bunch of other topics, thoughts and posts, I'm not so certain those will be up anytime soon. As, I was bored and didn't have the enough amount of time as needed to make a "real" post, so I decided to take this fun survey. No, not all of the songs on my ipod are TVB-related, but since this is a Tvb fansite, I will only skip until I recieve a Tvb related song, Hahah. I am not proud to announce that Tvb Shine will have it's first hiatus starting today, October 22nd. As you may have noticed, I have not been posting and or replying to the tagboard due to the fact of unplanned activities. With all my schoolwork slipping, family problems, and my computer containing viruses, I simply don't have the encouragement and time to blog. No worries, this will only last 2 weeks or sooner, as I have so much I want to share with uncompleted drafts on my computer. So, don't be sad for long & look ahead to my upcoming posts. Guess who just finished watching Laughing Gor - Turning Point with English subtitles? I finished watching it Sunday and just finished watching it again with my family during dinner. Brief Intro :
A quick, witty, business genuis Mak Tai Song hides his deep and emotional past but appearance wise he is a lazy , and a never serious guy. Through financial problems he meets debt collector Lam Mui Mui who was forced into that job when she crazily overspent on brand name clothes. As they work together with new and familiar faces for crazy business tactics, there relationship from physical fights and nonstop bickering turns into a refreshing love story. But as Song's regretful past comes back to haunt him, he is troubled as he does not have single clue about love, leaving Mui's feelings confused and bipolar. Will the know it all in business man settle down and learn a thing or two about love?

*Quick Comments :
I heard news about this (end of last year?) and had been awaiting to watch this series since. The news was announched shortly after MDC ended & I was obsessed with it at the time. I loved Dayo since little & was even more happy to hear he was going to film with an all time favorite actress of mine - Charmaine Sheh. My anticipation grew and grew & you couldn't belive my excitement to finally watch this series.

Theme Video/Song:
The theme video could've been better. It showed you nothing about what the series was going to be about and I didn't really enjoy the weird graphics. The poster and theme video mislead me into thinking Micheal and Theresa were going to be paired up. The song took me a moment to warm up to but I think I'm only loving it because Dayo's the singer. Pardon my bias, haha (:

Character/Performances :

Mak Tai Song (Dayo Wong) : I think from now on, whenever someone sees a red flannel it'll remind them of Mak Tai Song. Haha! Throughout the whole series he had a total of 3 outfits. His outer appearance and witty humor was a joy to watch. His hurtful past and watching him so clueless on how to express his love for Mui Mui was heart-wrenching to watch because he, who was never loved, didn't know how to give it back in return. You'll love Ah Song from the first minute you watch him!

First off, who doesn't love watching Dayo Wong. No matter in what situation he's playing you'll can't help but laugh. Dayo is simply amazing! My auntie who watched him for the first time liked him so much already ( she only saw one episode too). I'm keeping my fingers crossed hoping Dayo will film another TVB series in the future. 5/5

Lam Mui Mui (Charmaine Sheh) : Her outgoing, cute personality, with the touch of such classy, beautiful femine clothes will make anyone adore her! Lam Mui Mui is hilarious, tough, but yet a gentle kind hearted girl. She was such an entertaining character to watch and I loved every minute of her.

You rarely often see a comedic side of Charmaine Sheh, but she nailed this role. From being a loud , demanding debt collector , to a sweet, loving daughter , Charmaine acted it out as if it were a piece of cake! Her performace was definitly entertaing. 5/5

Sheh Mo Lin (Theresa Mo) : Mo Lin was an angelic character and you'll grow to love her. At first I had no clue who Theresa Mo was and didn't really care about her but as the series progressed I really liked her character. She was definitly a sweet character. I liked her perfect English, it adds the perfect touch to her character. 4/5

Johnny (Michael Tse) : Nothing out of the ordinary, Michael nailed his role, as always. His role is funny to watch and hilarious when he had dreams of being a singer, but nothing special. I looked forward to watching him after the hype for Laughing. Anyways, don't expect too much out of his character. Still Michael did an awesome job 4/5

Wah Kiu (Mandy Cho): For some reason, she looks a lot older in this series. Her pairing with Power is funny and you'll get used to them, but Mandy can use some improvement. Just like Mui Mui, Ah Kiu's wardrobe was extremely classy. Ah Kiu was a well written character. Her greediness was a definite match with Sam! 3.5/5

Memorable Mentions :
Dayo-Charmaine Pairing : Superb chemistry. I loved it. I was rooting for them since the beginning. The scenes they share together as a couple were quite little but extremely memorable and worth watching over and over again. All along Ah Song has been secretly helping her with financial problems which leading her onto no longer being a debt collector. Ah Song and Mui Mui were basically inseperable, although it left Mui Mui irritated, once she saw Ah Song's deep side, she was there for him all along, helped him with his problems leading her to realize her feelings for him. The way they both cared for each other but was overshadowed with all the bickering, you will realize their love for one another all along. The moments where they realize and confess their feelings for one another is strongly touching and will be hard to forget.

Oscar Leung : I love watching him on screen ever since FH 1. His character was typical but it was heart throbbing seeing him cry while making his noodles and thanking his master because someone, believed in him. I really disliked his hair though. Please change it back to your old hairstyle , haha!

Benz Hui : What a refreshing role for him! His friendship was Dayo was worth mentioning. I loved how they collaborated once again. I loved how Master Kat and Ah Song's views on love and business were the complete opposite, yet, they got along so well and were such close friends. His relationship plot was the most unappealing but funny to watch.

Dissapointments :

Koni Lui : I was anticipating her appearance, but her acting needs a lot of improvements here. She doesn't show enough facial expressions. However, she is such a beauty!

Queenie Chu : Same as Koni, she can use improvement. Was it her hair? But it made her look a lot mature, throughout the whole series I belived she looked like Michael's older sister.

-Some moments seemed a bit rushed. I hope they'd air the three episodes that were cut off! Argh.

-Johnny never really finding out the truth about Ah Song. The whole storyline seems incomplete for that. Johnny looks up to Ah Song as if he was his real older brother, such a pity for him (or maybe it was better off him not knowing?) Johnny was the only one who didn't know the truth.

Additional :

-Why Martin had to fake a leg injury? Was it for sympathy? Nevertheless, in the end, he got what he wanted.

- Ah Song's mother. I understand she had an affair and had Song but she still annoyed me. She didn't really give him a long heartfelt apology he deserved for leaving him. There wasn't a lot of scenes between these two characters.

-I found the english song they played in episode 17 when Dayo hugged Charmaine! Loving it, haha.

- Episode 11 : "It's hot! It's hoooot!" Hahhaah. I rewatched that scence a whole lot. I laughed out loud each time. Dayo's hilarious "penguin dance"

-Treehole Treatment! Lol, definite mention.

-Johnny's rice song, has the same tune to the You're Hired theme song.

- Joel Chan, for once he played a nice character. I quite enjoyed his performance.

- Charmaine was absolutely beautiful! & I think Dayo looks the best in this series.

- Does anyone notice the Tavia ad on but behind Dayo on ep 22?

- Dayo's voice in MDC themesong was lower than the theme song for You're Hired. Or is it just me?

-Best comdey in 2009!

Overall :
This series was entertaining. You'll love Dayo for sure and his chemistry/pairing with Charmaine is refreshing. I do reccomend this series. It's lighthearted and humorous. Each character will grow on you also. A definte rewatch for the future. Kudos to Dayo for revising the script. He has amazing talents! 4.5/5 = A !

Yesterday evening Dayo Wong, Charmaine Sheh and Benz Hui were in Causeway Bay shooting outdoor scenes for the new TVB series (Enterprise Doctor). Suddenly a girl wearing a woolen hat approached Dayo Wong from behind and tapped him
on the shoulder, which made him jump. But when he looked closer he realised it was Belinda Hamnett who had returned to ATV.

Dayo Wong had a false alarm and said "It's not easy to not be shocked when Belinda approached me like that. Although after filming the series ( To Catch The Uncatchable) the cast occasionally meet up. But I never thought I would bump into her here".

It appeared that Dayo Wong and Charmaine Sheh had no communication, would it be because he was afraid of rumours? He said "Today we don't have any scenes together, we usually joke alot and also I have no control over rumours.

Comments : Has anyone read about this article? :) Yes, obviously this was very old and I thought it was quite funny and would like to share. I'm currently rewatching TCTU and I enjoy the friendship between Dayo and Belinda. Hope you guys enjoyed this article! *I know I promised no more Dayo graphics, which kind of also meant Dayo-related posts, because it seemed some people were getting annoyed, but I just really wanted to share.

Once again, I will have to delay my posts (i.e You're Hired Review, etc.) I had a few good posts in mind but they'll just have to be delayed because of unexpected school work, activites , etc. I feel really upset about not posting my first review which is You're Hired! But, not a lot of people are done with the series, or they're almost finishing, so maybe the review can wait.

As you may have noticed, Tvb Shine has a new layout! I was ok with the previous one, but I wanted tabs for organization. Haha. I will be fixing up this site a lot and adding new "features" so click back and check around for new stuff, but I'm unsure if I will be posting any "real posts" for this week. I keep making graphics of You're Hired/Dayo. I'm sorry! Pardon my obsession. Haha, there won't be any graphic posts anytime soon.

This will be the final layout for Tvb Shine. I don't think I will bother changing it since, it's simple and great to use. Plus, I don't have time changing layouts. However, banners will change daily, (usually by each month) but I am not sure. The site is still under construction, and I'm pretty sure this layout was better, and I am more satisfied with this one. Well, I'm off to fix the site, while I watch TCTU and eat ice cream :)

As the my obsession continues, have you ever seen or wondered what Dayo with short hair would look like?! I remember watching The Great Adventure (Francis Ng, Dayo Wong , Flora Chan etc.) when I was young, & didn't find out til recent years that, that was actually Dayo! I was too young to recognize him back then, haha! He had short hair in the drama, although he looked weird at first I grew to like it! I think he looks better, but just my opinion. I found these pictures on asianfanatics and I just love them! Dayo just looks so cute with this hair. What are your thoughts?

Most of those who watched 2006's War & Destiny starring - Sunny Chan , Myolie Wu , Ron Ng and Leila Tong would have to say it's a great series. This series seemed to have good praises and was well liked. The theme song was quite amazing as well (Fortunately - Myolie Wu). This song was featured in the album Lady in Red. I myself loved this song. It's catchy & Myolie sings it extremely well , although I don't even understand the lyrics haha. On a negative note, I really disliked the music video. That, was just plain weird.

A few months ago searching randomly on youtube I came across a video. Ngay Buon Nhat - Bao Thy. Bao Thy is a singer in Vietnam who I've heard about but I didn't bother listening to any of her songs. However this one was a Viet version to Myolie Wu's Fortunately. I was amazed and shocked by this. A lot of people "disliked" Bao Thy because she has done more covers of song and thus they called her unoriginal. I don't really know her , and I don't really care but I think she is very pretty and sang this song just alright. I did like the lyrics though.

Another new one!Linda has tremendously improved. You can tell. I'm currently listening to the song as I'm typing this. Hmm, I think the song is just alright until it hits the chorus. Upcoming/Series Thoughts.

*I apologize for my lack of updates recently. But, I will be blogging more frequently. I have updated all of the affiliates, thank you so much! Some of these series are not particularly "new" but I'll post my thoughts about them anyways.

The Threshold on An
Persona This series never really appealed to me. The only plus side to this was the cast - Roger Kwok mainly. That's it. I watched the first four episodes and although it wasn't that bad, I didn't bother to finish the rest. I did pity Claire Yiu's character. I read some spoilers and reviews and realized my decision was correct. Yes, I did like Roger and Yoyo's pairing in Last One Standing but I didn't look forward to it here. I don't think I would enjoy this that much even though Roger is in it.

A Great Way To Care - After anticipating and watching last year's The Building Blocks of Life, I think I'm too biased but I had a feeling it was going to turn out boring. I remember watching Alex Fong when I was little but I don't know if he is a great actor or not. Although I'm starting to accept and enjoying Kate as an actress nothing seems to interest me. I did watch a trailer for this and I really want to watch Kate's performance. Although she does have that same hairstyle, the role seems refreshing. I read some info about this series , and it does sound a little interesting. Plus, I heard Raymond Cho's performance was amazing. Maybe someday I'll plan on watching this series. But for now, I don't think I have the time and patience.

Burning Flames 3 - I already know for certain it cannot live up to Burning Flame 1 & 2 before watching it. But of course I am giving it a try. I'm only on episode 6 and so far I think it's entertaining. I really enjoy the cast's performance! I look forward onto finishing this series but there were comments about the ending being dissapointing. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. I really like Bosco's character by the way. He is much better here than in Moonlight Resonance.

A Bride For a Ride - I planned on skipping on this series after seeing the costume fitting. I knew the series would be a cheesy and ridiculous comedy. I just pitied Sammul because he is a capable actor and he deserves much better roles. I don't know why and how but one boring day I decided to watch the first episode. That was a waste of time. I guess the series did get better but I'm still wondering why I watched one episode in the first place. Chin Ka Lok didn't dissapoint though. And, Sammul's character was likable and he looked great in his male & female costume, haha!

You're Hired - I anticipated this once I heard news they were filming. I love watching Dayo on screen! He is always laugh out loud funny. Plus , I was crazy about Men Don't Cry. But it can't replace TCTUC as Dayo's best series! Charmaine is one of my favorite actresses and I'd love to see her in a comdey role! I am obsessed with what she wears in this series. I watched the first episode yesterday and I enjoyed it. There were some boring parts, but Charmaine and Dayo were laugh otu loud funny. My little cousin and auntie loved it as well. I have a feeling I'm going to lose interest later on but I'm pretty sure I will finish this series sooner or later. The cast is great with Michael Tse and Koni Lui. I haven't seen a comdey in awhile and I miss that a whole lot. Even my aunt who saw Dayo for the first time loved him right away!

D.I.E Again - I thought the first was one was acceptable and funny until the ghost thingymabob appeared. That was when I believed this series as going to turn out lame. Surprisingly it recieved> really good ratings. This series at whole was alright. It had its enjoyable moments but most of them was exxtremely unecessary. Like Roger's death scence, that was a dissapointment. I enjoy watching Roger and Sonija a lot though, and of course Derek Kwok, but I don't enjoy his hairstyle here. They got rid of Margie Tsang which I believe is a bad idea. I'll miss the Margie-Derek pairing. I had a feeling it was going to be absolutely cheesy and after watching the themevideo - I was right! For now, I'll just try watcing one episode and see if I want to continue. Maybe my dad might watch this, I'll just watch bits and pieces with him then.

The Stew of Life - Seems boring. But maybe I'll be surprised because Lee Sei Ki is in it. Plus Christine Ng and Fala Chen. I am never looking forward to seeing Fala's extreme beauty hidde underneath that horrific wig. But I am going to listen to the theme song. Fala's singing it and I think she has potential. Maybe.

Raymond Lam in Vietnam

On July 22nd , 2009, Raymond Lam Fung held a concert "Shake the Wind" in Vietnam. Raymond sang a total of 16 songs.

I know this old news and everyone knows about this already but I just wanted to share my thoughts about this exciting event! I have seen several videos of Raymond in Vietnam on youtube. (If you would like to view them as well, you may as me for the link. Note : I did not upload those videos) My family was planning on going to Vietnam for next summer, and I've always wanted to visit there to see where my parents grew up. I was delightfully surprised to hear about Raymond holding a concert in Vietnam. From reading my mom's magazine articles in Vietnam , Raymond was very popular & well liked. I saw a clip of Raymond arriving at the airport in Vietnam and at least a hundred fans came rushing up screaming and yelling "Lam Phong". You should already know that is Raymond's vietnamese name , haha. Everyone was crowding him and he couldn't even walk. There were girls crying , and this one girl in the red shirt ran up crying and even fell! But Raymond was such a gentlemen , he walked over and helped her up. Lucky girl , ;)
Raymond even said a few lines in Vietnamese! "Lam Fung den Vietnam!" - Lam Fung has arrived in Vietnam
and he also said "Cam On" - Thank you. The way he prounced it was super cute!
Although the fans in Vietnam (and myself) couldn't understand him, they also sing along (which I can do also, haha). He was also given Vietnamese bamboo hats, which is common hatwear in Vietnam. That was so cute how he put them on! The audience went crazy. Also, some Viet fans came up on stage and sang along with him , giving him presents and Raymond was touched to tears. How sweet! I watched the clips with my mom and the whole time I was thinking it must have been an amazing experience for people in Vietnam. Raymond sings so amazing!

I hope one day I get the lucky chance to see him in concert! My mom would be as excited as I am! Haha.

Welcome to TVB Shine!

Greetings. Like any other TVB (fan) blog , this will contain my thoughts on everything related to TVB - the stars, music ,dramas, etc. Honestly in my opinion ( and right now everyone else's) TVB is lacking these days. It's not the same anymore. You learn not to expect so much out of the dramas because you'll end up dissapointed. The dramas now just don't seem to interest people anymore like they used. Growing up watching TVB , of course I notice this. I'm slowly losing interest in the dramas which deeply saddens me. TVB was a great way my family (and I'm sure a lot of families) bonded. Everyday I log on to the computer , I always stumble on and check every "popular" TVB fan blog there is. But lately , many of my favorite sites are going away on long hiatus or even leaving because of other reasons such as school work , or no longer having interest. Instead of being a silent reader to many blogs & agreeing & disagreeing with some thoughts , I decided to make my own blog & share my thoughts.

A TVB blog I enjoy reading the most would always me - TVB musings. Metalaznwarrior is one of the most creative writers & I simply enjoy his blog. I'm sure everyone has visited his site as it is very popular. Evey single post of his facinates me and including everyone. He is a huge fan of Linda Chung and she graces almost every TVB Musings banner. Thanks to Metal I wouldn't be so obsessed with Linda as much! To keep his "tradition" going , almost every TVB Shine banner will include Linda. But sadly, Metal will type his final post at the end of August (which is very very soon). I will surely miss visiting Tvb Musings and I'm pretty sure everyone else would also.

I will try my best to update as much as possible. But on a side note, I am returning back to school tomorrow. I'm wondering if people are thinking this is only a Linda fansite, but in fact it is not I just love to feature her in my posts and banners , etc. Later on , other artists will be mentioned as well.

As I mentioned earlier, TVB is lacking these days and I hope one day it can improve again. It is mostly the main reason I named my blog TVB Shine! To wish & hope that one day TVB can shine again , and hoping that TVB can brighten your gloomy days. If you guys have any requests for me to post such as series reviews, thoughts on anything TVB related I'd be glad to. My blog is new and I'm trying my best to fix it.
